APlayer

APlayer is a module player, started in 1994 on the Amiga. The work has been continued on BeOS by Thomas Neumann and is now available on both the PPC and Intel version. Among the things that APlayer already offers today are the ability to play more than 111 different module formats, including the famous Protracker modules originated on the Amiga. The ability to handle modulelists gives you the opportunity to save and load your favourite modules in one go.

Thomas Neumann only programs the BeOS in his spare time, so we just have to wait for new features.

PolyKit

PolyKit is a library with some helper classes to help you create a program that can easy be ported to another platforms. Supported platforms are only BeOS at the moment.

APlayer uses the library alot, mainly because it have a string class that is full featured, e.g. it can handle different charactersets and convert between them without any problems.

The library comes with full source, so you can improve the classes if you want. Just remember to send the improvements to us, so it can be incorporated in the next version.

Unlzx

Unlzx is a commandline tool for unpacking lzx archives. Lzx archives originates from the Amiga computer and belongs to the same "family" of archivers as lha and zip. Supported platforms are BeOS and Windows.

As far as we know this is the only available lzx unpacker available for both Windows and BeOS, so we would like thank the programmer (David Tritscher) for the original source (which is included in the archive).
